HISTORY MYSTERY CONNECTING HISTORIC DOTS- an INVITATION TO ADD OR CONTRIBUTE A STORY

–The APHA History encompasses over 14 Decades and counting. This span of history chronicles a diversity of stories and tales. The body of public health expands and the content practice, science and the setting and context of the time are a complex of events, people, and institutions. History Mystery is a space, and place to look at aspects of our history told or untold; it is also an invitation to question events, engage others to fill in the missing pieces, add the backstories and circumstance, chance, adventures and misadventures that bring the larger picture of Public Health and the Association into sharper focus. In this illustration History Mystery provides an opportunity to highlight an event that while noteworthy in itself on second look raise a question or an unexpected coincidence separated in time to share a common thread to provide a connection, that serve to illustrate a theme and bring the story of public health in the continuity of patterns of place, time or people that bridge the years. These stories can also fuel our imagination or add to our personal connection or insights or at a minimum they are just plain interesting
